The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) joins the trend of how media network GMA-7 teased award-winning actress Bea Alonzo’s network transfer.

In a Facebook post published Monday, June 5, BPI teased its chairman and Ayala Corp. (AC) chairman  emeritus Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala’s new role at the AC-backed banking arm through a photo that only shows the tycoon’s left eye.

The banking firm did not specify what role JAZA will be taking but mentioned that the news can be  expected in the coming weeks.

In December last year, JAZA announced his plan to step down from his post as CEO of the 187-year-old  Ayala Corp. to focus on his role as Chairman of the Board. The transition took effect last April 23, 2021, and the post he vacated was occupied by his brother, Fernando Zobel de Ayala.

The billionaire businessman serves on the Board of Directors of a number of PSE-listed companies,  including Ayala Corp., Globe Telecom, Inc., Manila Water Company, Inc., and AC Energy Corporation.
